Could I get into NYU ED1??

I’m an international student from korea (VERY overrepresented minority… lucky me lol) but i have attended all 4 years of high school in the US. I just sent in my application for NYU ED1 a few days ago; if anyone could give me an idea as to what my chances are, I’d be so grateful!

Intended major: Media, Culture, and Communicaion at NYU Steinhardt

UW GPA: 94.6/100 (3.78?)
SAT: 2110
Rank: 20% (class is like 50 people so it shouldn’t be a big deal)

Courses: I have taken/am taking 4 AP classes throughout high school. My school only has about 10 AP classes.

Essays & Rec: I assume they’re pretty good. Probably nothing outstanding, though.

EC: I am a member of 8 clubs, and I’ve been a consistent member for all of them. I have done theatre for all 4 years of high school, and I’m a member of International Thespian Society and VP of the drama club. I’m also in Mu Alpha Theta, and I’m an officer for NHS. I’m also an officer for a few other minor clubs.
I have internship experience in my intended major, and 200-ish service hours at a non-profit organization.
I have some other things I’ve done as well; I won’t list all of the less important little ones.
Awards: Honor roll, National French Exam

I will not be needing Financial Aid.

I’d be concerned about your rank and the rigor of your course load. Might get deferred though, or waitlisted. ECs are okay. All the best!

you’re prob gonna get in because of $$. NYU love international students that doesn’t need financial aids. Plus your scores are pretty safe too. Good Luck!

@icarus29 Thanks! Yeah, I know my rank isn’t going to help me at all, but I’m hoping that since it’s a very small class (i’m 10/50) it will matter less. As for course rigor… not much I can do about that now. I wish my school had a bit more AP classes :frowning:
