Could I get into the University of Northern Iowa?

I am looking into attending this school next fall, it’s not too far from home and tuition isn’t sky-high. However when I google this school I read it has a 83% acceptance rate, where a couple other sources say 76-79%.

It seems it would be fairly easy to get in, but I’m not too sure.

My college gpa is 2.91
Act score unknown (retaking)
I’m not in any extra curricular activities.
I’m not sure what else this school takes into consideration.

I’ve done some research on Cedar Falls, IA, It seems like a nice place to study and work.

If anyone attends this school or is from the Cedar Falls area, I would appreciate any information you may give me on the school/area.

Thank you!

UNI uses the Regents Admission Index. Go to this link, use the RAI Calculator, and see where you stand.

https://www.uni.edu/admissions/freshmen-admission-requirements

Applicants who achieve at least a 245 RAI score and who meet the minimum high school course requirements are guaranteed admission. Applicants who achieve less than a 245 RAI score but meet the minimum high school course requirements will be considered for admission on an individual basis.

It seems like extracurriculars would only count if your RAI is less than a 245, but I’m not 100% sure. Good luck!
