Could I study in Poland?

Essentially, I am considering adding possibly one Polish school to my list of schools to apply to, however I have done very little research on this field and am curious.

My questions essentially include:

Would an engineering degree be able to get me the same jobs in the US as with a degree from a US school?

Do you think it would be worth it for me to go over there to study?

Now for those of you questioning why I would want to do such a thing, well:

1) The cost of tuition is practically nothing (It's cheap to begin with and I was born in Poland so that's even better)

2) The cost to live is very inexpensive (I am very lucky because my grandmother owns an apartment in this universities setting...and in general life is inexpensive)

3) I can speak the language of course

4) I have family over there

5) The location is great because I have a lot I can explore in Europe

I'm still very unsure of this

Thank you!

You need to find out what the licensing requirements are for foreign trained engineers. It may not be easy to transition into the US job market. You also need to find out what the requirements are for admission if you have been educated outside Poland. Nothing wrong with going there for a year or so and deciding whether or not to stay. Sort of an extended Gap Year with Option as it were.

Interesting, I should do more research on this…obviously there are much better schools here in the US  but there’s a lot I could also learn and enjoy there…well this is why I’m glad I’m starting to make a list of schools this early.

Anyways happymomof1, I realize that you are very near to 15k forum posts…bravo!
