I’m REALLY into graphic design/photography/welding, and planned to submit some of my favorite pieces in the “your space” section, not sure that makes any difference. I'm pretty confident that my essay really displays who I am and how I think, but I haven't really worked on the rest of the application.

Are you applying ED? I think you are in excellent shape. They will love you!

Ahhh sadly I’m not, my family isn’t in the financial position where I can apply ED. Thank you!

Hmm…well, first of all, you are a VERY strong candidate, and Vassar does take a higher percentage who apply early decision, so if you really want to go there, I suggest you do that. Have you used the Net Price Calculator to see if you really can afford Vassar or not? Vassar DOES say that if you are admitted either early decision or regular decision that the financial award is the same. Also, it is only a binding agreement if you are accepted and if the financial aid is acceptable to you. If it isn’t, you can decide not to go there and then to apply regular decision to other colleges.

Good luck!

My S was admitted '14, your stats are the same or better, we are in the west also, I would say you have a good to high chance, fin aid was great for us. Only thing against you is you’re female and they have ALOT of very highly qualified female at Vassar, but good luck, I think you are good.
