Could Someone Chance Me Please??

Hey guys. Okay. So, I'm a senior this year and I really would like to attend Princeton University. However, I'm not confident in my SAT score (1160 out of 1600/1810 out of 2400) or my GPA. This is because I transfered to a different, more challenging high school in 11th grade. My current high school, however, is ranked among the top 10 in the nation (if that makes a difference). Also, this is the top school in my state. Anyway, thank you in advance for your responses.

GPA:
Weighted-4.740
Unweighted-3.68
Class Rank-Valedictorian (At old school). At my new school, they do not rank students because we are some of the best in the state. Therefore, it wouldn't be fair.

SAT Scores:
SAT Math I-590
SAT CR I-570
SAT Writing I-650
SAT Math lvl II-610
SAT Literature-670

-this class was a joke. We learned nothing and because of that, my score on the AP Exam was terrible.

My essays were pretty good. I had them critiqued by roughly 20 or so different people. But will Princeton take into consideration the high school that I come from? Please be honest. I really don't want to get my hopes up for something that seems virtually impossible.

I’m going to say yes.

You, for practical concerns, have almost no chance.

Students within your GPA range are accepted at a rate of 5.6%; students within your SAT range are accepted at a rate of 2.2%. Probably around 95% of the people in either of those groups has a hook.

Assuming you’re not an under-represented minority, I would roughly peg your chance around 1%.

You know that “National Society for High School Scholar
Who’s Who Among American High School Students”

are both scams?

College laugh when they see that. Seriously. Those programs mean nothing. They carry even less weight than being a national merit semifinalist or national honors society, which don’t do anything for your chances of admission to top schools (I mean top 40 schools).

And those Cs are going to kill your chances. Especially because you consistently got Cs, not justa mix of mostly As with a few Bs.

Okay. Thank you for your honesty. Although, I’m still going to have faith and pray.

well have faith because on this website, Cappex they give u a graph of your chances on getting in based on GPA & SAT scores… When i check there was someone who had like a 2.7 out of 4.0 and their SAT scores was less than 1350 (consist of math, reading, and writing scores)

high reach

No. 10char

I’m going to have to agree with silverturtle here and say you ahve no chance :/. I wish you the best of luck. To be honest, I want you to get in, cuz then I would have a chance too with my stats.

On a side note, I can’t believe you got an A+ in AP World History but still did so badly on the AP Exam. I had a C for that class but I ended up with a 5 on the exam. But then again, that’s not saying much, cuz nobody gets anything below 5 in my school lol, apart from seniors who have already got accepted to college and decide to skip the exam.
