could submitting an arts supplement end up hurting you?

I sent my schools a recording of my piano playing (been playing for 10 years just as a hobby). I'm pretty good but I'm not brilliant by any means, definately not good enough to be a contribution to the music department. Now I'm a little worried that my schools might get the wrong idea about me, is there a possibility of them saying "she thinks she's good enough for our piano dept.? phooey! she thinks she's good enough for our school? PHOOEY!"

The worst thing that could happen is that the music dept says that my CD doesn't help the application, and then they just evaluate me as if I never sent anything in, right? :-/

Haha! That sounds like something that I'd ask... in that it's EXTREMELY paranoid.

I'm sure that the recording will demonstrate your passion and dedication to a hobby, at the very least. :]

hehe! thanks poseur... rereading that, I can TOTALLY see the paranoia.... I think I'm going nutty ;-)
