I have an extremely tough courseload and am doing kind of poorly. My AP chemistry class is extremely difficult. This is my schedule and projected grades

Photography - A
AP Calc BC - B or C
AP Macroecon- A or B
AP Chemistry- D
AP English- B
AP Physics- B

Could that ONE D get me rescinded? It states on the UCI website that you could be rescinded for "multiple D's or F's" but how about just one D? And i already finished my A-G requirements. I took AP chem for a challenge.

You need to report the D grade to UCI (and any other UC campus) regardless. And unfortunately, yes, this could potentially jeopardize your admission status.

The D can still hurt you even if you only have one. Contact the admissions and tell them and see if you can explain why you got a D and how you plan to get it back up. Otherwise, they’ll see it on your final transcript anyway and would more likely rescind you on the spot…but I’m not saying that they will. Good luck!

Call them ASAP and explain the situation. Yes, it could jeopardize your admission, but the sooner your report it, the better.

So did you get rescinded??

I think the op was rescinded… They won’t accept any D’s or Fs BOTTOM LINE: Don’t Slip up in your senior year!

A few people have reported that so long as it was only one D and the student promptly reported it, the school worked with them. It is key to report it though, however. Obviously they are going to see it anyhow, before you arrive.
