i have some killer service hours, played sports all 4yrs and played in band all 4yrs.
essays are pretty good too

i heard that this is a relatively new program so they are accepting a lot of people to try and expand it. i think i have an "OK" chance at getting in. im sooo scared!

a second opinion?

mrforks00, I would say with the SATI and gpa, you are quite possibly in. Maybe a low reach. But, I don't think your SATII scores would help you a lot. 610 = passable for UCI but not a 520. Since its a point system, your total points might b just above the limit for acceptance or borderline. Unfortunately, your ECs and hours dnt count for much. GPA + SATI + SATII = 90% - 95% of your admission points. You could always check UCI's website because I think they have a points table telling you how much they allot for each category. Good Luck! (I got my notification 02/15).

UCi does not have a published point system like UCD or UCSD. I think ECs do matter and acc to to princeto review CS and volunteering is imp to UCI

yeah, i don't think that UCI is on the point system. also, i was not aware that SAT 2's counted THAT much of your admission, i thought this was used to help them place you in accelerated classes etc. had i taken those as serious as SAT 2's they might be higher, oh well. any more feedback would be great. thanks a lot!

i also forgot to add that i got a 28 on my ACT

All the UCs use a point system except Cal and LA iirc. But not all of them release them.

And just for the points formulas that have been released, it seems that SAT2s count just as much as SAT1s
