Hi!)
Dear forum members, could you say something about my application.
I'm international student. My GPA is 5.0 out of 5.0.With TOEFL IBT score-100,SAT-1900,IELTS-7.5 as well as SAT2(math and phys)-800,770.
Moreover i have one IMO bronze, but I am not keen on sport. I can play only one musical instrument.Probably that's all I'd say.
What are my chances in apllying to Amherst,University of Chicago,Umich and Ohio Wesleyan.
By the way I'm from poor family therefore i can afford paying only 5,000-15,000$.That's why i need college with generous financial aid or scholarship system.
Thank you in advance.)

Your SAT is subpar for an international acceptee at Amherst and Chicago. Your low family income may be an advantage. I can’t give you any specific idea of your chances as I am inexperienced in international admissions, but I presume that good chances hinge upon an increased SAT score.

OK,I suspected that, but SAT is really hard for international students, taking into account that I’ve been studying english only for 1.5 year.so…what colleges can you suggest me with my current SAT score?
And another thing is:what’s the recommended score for Amherst and Chicago,if it is attainable ,probably I’ll retake SAT soon.
Thank you in advance.

Forget Michigan in terms of aid. You need some schools that gave aid to internationals where your stats are above their 75th percentile unless you’re from a country they don’t see many applicants from. If you’re from Asia, most of Europe, Australia/NZ, you’ll get no break on scores, there are tons of applicants with high ones. If you’re from a small African nation, you’ll get a break.

wait did you just say…

IMO Bronze? Like the International Mathematical Olympiad?

Thats cool bro :D
