Hi everyone. I will be applying for Iowa State university,SUNY Buffalo, University of Massachusetts, Amherst for fall 2014. I just wanted to know if I would get in for chem engineering. I am an international student btw. Could you also suggest some more Unis with my stats.

Stats-
SAT-1650(Maths-660 CR 480 W-510)
(I know extremely low, can't give it any more since exams are around the corner)

GPA- 3.8( average of 9th 10th 11th and 12th)

TOEFL-92

EC(Rough Sketch)- Good amount of awards in sports especially in golf as i have won few state level championships.
Member of school basketball team.
Lots of social work and community services.
Playing the drums and guitar for 5 years and also performed.

I don’t know about Iowa State, but you should be pretty set for UMass and UB, but if possible try taking the SAT again or maybe the ACT and see if that one is easier for you. Check my latest chance post!

Your GPA and SAT don’t match at all. It may be a huge distress to college admissions that there will such a huge gap. Be sure to increase your SAT score or try ACT. This is very important…

Anyways, Amherst should be Reach…the rest I’m not too sure about.

I think he meant UMass-Amherst, not Amherst College guys.

Anyways, I’d have to agree with some of the previous posters. You should get in, and I think you’ll get in all, although higher test scores would do you wonders!

Agree with Skyrior to a degree. With a high GPA, though, I’d say Iowa and UMD are reasonable. How about checking out UGA? Chance me to a few of my choices? (check my latest thread)
