I know Wharton/Stern are not the same as Penn/NYU as far as chances, so:

Where do Wharton/Stern fall in in terms of DIFFICULTY OF GETTING INTO among:

Ivies (HYP, Columbia, UPenn College, Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell)
Stanford
MIT
Caltech

If you feel that either of them are easier than all of these, I guess you could put what school you think they compare to.

Thanks!

in order of decreasing difficulty

yale

harvard

princeton/MIT/Caltech

wharton

stanford/columbia - columbia college is insanely hard to get into.

upenn

dartmouth/brown - brown's admissions process is very weird.

cornell/stern

6, 7 and 8 could easily be interchanged.

The difference in difficulty of admission is tiny between these schools. If you get into let's say yale theres no guarentee you would get into the other schools.

what do you think is the harder major between economics and finance?

How about Kelley School of Business? Does it fit in anywhere near that list?

Economics is harder than finance. Economics deals more with theory, and it's much more complex than most finance courses.
