New York University is easy?

i am applying to thier business school early decision.. is it really hard?

me 2, but i heard that stern is REALLY competitive...so idk

yessss, it is. Im applying ED as well. To tell you the truth, I dont think I have a very good chance of getting in, but then I think, whats there to lose, you know? I mean, Stern is the hardest school at nyu to get into, but once your in, you truly reap the benefits of going to one of the top business schools in the us and prob. in the world, with all these perks, and recruitment, and amazing oppurtunities, and oh god, im swooning.
haha, I live in california, and to me Stern would trump UC Berkeley Haas anyday.

Stern's at the level of UPenn Wharton and UC Berkeley Haas definitely. I'd say it's tougher than most of the lower Ives like Dartmouth and Cornell.

In what way??? Dartmouth has a 13% acceptance rate and the highest SAT scores among the Ivies after HYP. Wharton is way tougher to get into than Haas.

If you had to Rank those schools in terms of selecitivity it would be:

Wharton
Dartmouth
Stern-Haas-Cornell

by stern-haas-cornell, are u indicating that they are about the same? or is stern the hardest of the three?

also, can someone help me rank the selectivity business schools like goizueta, tepper, marshall, stern, ross, uchicago, columbia, and cornell?? last three doesnt have a undergrad business program, but still...someone provide some help??thanks

depends in what field.
Stern in generally regarded as the second best finance program in the united states, right after wharton. Wharton has been a powerhouse, but Stern has made huge strides, and according to statistics, Stern kids have higher stats than wharton.

the thing is though, even if the rankings say nyu has the second best finance program, it isnt on the level of top target schools recruitment wise. it really just depends on what you want to do. Stern is an amazing school, but if you want to break in to a very presitigous field such as IB or hedge fund, you might want to consider one of the more target schools (ivies)

but it has like 96% job placement rate. So you really shouldnt worry about finding a job. I hate to bring up an old thread about Stern being non-target though, its very subjective.
