In my school the Vice Principal usually acts as the counsellor but in my case the Principal was assigned as my counsellor. By then I had already sent the invite with the name of the Vice Principal. Since I could not change the information from my side, the school said they would update the counsellor information from their end. Today, they submitted the counsellor forms and made the updates to the counsellor information section from their side, but the Recommender tab of my CommonApp account still has the Vice Principal’s name as my counsellor. I’m worried because in the rest of my documents and application, it states that the Principal is my counsellor. This discrepancy may cost me my chance at universities. HELP.

Do you believe that you were singled out and that no other student at your school is in the same predicament?
The applicant already knows everything about his/her app.
You don’t need to see dialogue between the schools because it’s not that exciting, nor different.
If you don’t get in anywhere, it won’t be because of your change of counselor.
The names of my submitted counselor and Common App counsellor don’t match. This is because the school used the same account for sending in the Vice Principal’s and the Principal’s recommendations. I am the only student who received a recommendation from the Principal in my school. So the school updated the information of the counselor to the Principal’s details, submitted my school report and recommendation letter and then reverted the details back to that of the Vice Principal’s for the rest of the students. But my CommonApp has the Vice Principal still being shown as my counsellor which does not match the recommendation letter the school sent in nor the counselor details I provided in the CommonApp where the Principal is listed as my recommender.
