i just received my letters of rec, and they are all sealed so that i am unable to take a look. however, i recently decided not to apply to one of the colleges and thought i could view the files within that envelope. She made a mistake. I found that she wrote president and not my true position as vice president. Do i need to be worried because I'm going to fill out the rest of the app as vice pres anyway? and since it isn't my fault, should i just send it? or should i just reveal to my counselor that i viewed the letter and ask for another one?

Not cool, you should have just destroyed the letters of rec. IMO you’ll be in hot water if you tell your counselor that you looked at it…

yea, but should i risk being in the hot water if it affects my application? or will the admissions officers assume my counselor made a mistake?

It won’t matter.

Either position is important and which you have is probably irrelevant. Don’t mention it to your GC.
