Counselor rec - not needed for me?

On page of recs, it says "No evaluations required for this school." under the stuff my counselor has to do.

Does that my school doesn't have to send out evaluations, or that my college doesn't need evaluations? The app is for UVA btw, and they said they need secondary school reports. :S

It's under the counselor stuff, not in place of the counselor stuff. It means it doesn't require Teacher Evaluations.

But optional teacher recommendation can be sent to them via mail or fax... I sent mine through fax

Bah I'm confused... In the School Forms section this is what I get:

My counselor hasn't done all my reports (or they haven't been received), and it says no evaluations are needed. Is that okay?

What the other posters said is accurate. Forms from your counselor are required; that's why you're seeing those items in the box that says "Counselor." The line that says "No evaluations required for this school" refers to teacher evaluations.

If your counselor submitted your Secondary School Report and transcript by postal mail, or any other forms for that matter, commonapp.org won't show them as started, submitted, or received. Doesn't matter what commonapp.org says about the school forms, as long as U.Va actually receives them.

Ok thanks a lot!
