Counselor Recommendation?!

<p>Hey everyone!
I know this question has already been answered but what happens if your counselor doesn't turn in your recommendation on time?
My counselor is new at our school; she was hired this year.
I really don't know her, but I had no choice to ask her for a recommendation.
I asked her several times to see if she could do my recommendation but she still hasn't turned it in... And today is the deadline for early decision.
What would happen if she didn't turn it in?
And what would happen if she turned it in late?
Would that negatively affect my application?
I know getting all the recommendations is my responsibility, but... she still hasn't done it either way.</p>

<p>If you could answer me, that would be great. (:
Thanks!</p>

<p>I can depend on the school; some schools’ deadlines are soft (especially privates, as opposed to publics), and they know some things are out of students’ control. Still, there comes a time where it becomes too late to do the processing.</p>

<p>So there’s no fixed answer. :(</p>

<p>I’m applying to Johns Hopkins ED.
Since JHU is a private university, do you think they would be lenient on that?
I have no idea where to find this answer since it isn’t on the website. :frowning:
Would they completely reject my application if I didn’t have a counselor recommendation at all do you think?</p>

<p>Call the admissions office and ask!</p>
