teacher recommendations not in on time!

hey i'm applying to upenn ed and mit ea and one of my teahcers still has not submitted her recommendation. is it okay if its a day or two late to these institutions?

thanks in advance

When did you give it to him/her? We can see when we assigned it to a recommender - can the colleges? If she doesn’t submit it in time, I would think that faxing a letter to the colleges saying when you gave it to her, when you reminded her, and the circumstances of the delay might be a good idea. Anyone else?

i gave it to her…sometime in May? and i’ve reminded her three times since the school year started, including once last week. urghhh i’ll try emailing her again. if she doesnt respond, i’ll definitely fax the letter.

thanks

Schools are usually pretty lenient about late teacher recs…but that doesn’t mean that they’ll wait forever for it.

If you gave the request in May, then she’s just plain lazy.

The ED deadline is for you. Now starts the ball rolling; a file is made to intake all subsequent materials. If time moves along and items are missing, they’ll contact you or the school. Don’t sweat.

thank god i was freaking out and going crazy trying to contact my teacher and guidance counselor

thank you!!
