Spaceneedles it’s a postcard from Andover telling you your app is complete

@spaceneedleseive: I indulged in my sketching and then started sketching various boarding schools…there is just something wrong in my mindset, then. XP Because the boarding school decisions are calling me, like a siren’s eerie song. I just can’t resist ranting all over CC!

Days.

10char. <—that really kind of ruined the moment.

@GoldenRation: I feel you. Btw, instagram is awesome. :D

I haven’t gotten the postcard either!

@GoldenRatio: If you upload your pics, I will definitely follow you:D

Okay whoever didn’t get a post card please say what state you live in. I live in
Massachusetts.

I live in Canada and I got one.

What are postcards really for? Are they reminders to finish your application, telling you that you finished your app or just general wishing someone a good putHolidayHere??

I live in New England like you, Prepgrad2017, and I still got one. What in the world does this mean? Am I just over-analyzing, or is this giving off a very ominous vibe?

@bsroxmysox: The postcard just told me that my application was complete and that the TASO was mailing out decisions on March 9.

It feels like they forgot people or just mailed them to potential candidates?

@Prepgrad2017: Or!-it could be a soft let-down to those who Andover deems “unfit.” It’s two extremes, and since we don’t know the motives of the schools, we have to be content with flipping coins. We’ll see come March 9.

“I call heads for the conjecture that postcards equal rejection!”

Maybe is was just certain people doing this like our interviewers. So some of the people did this and the others were just too busy. I’m going to get my mom to email the school so I’ll tell you guys what they say about the postcards.

@Prepgrad2017 I’m not sure that’s such a good idea, emailing the school so late in the process about a postcard. I mean, I can’t be entirely sure how it will effect the admissions process this late…but still.

@Prepgrad2017- Please don’t contact admissions before M10. Hang in there- you’re almost there! AO postcards are nice, but really don’t matter. Stay positive and don’t read too much into things.

By the way- I think all you guys are great. Best of luck to everyone!

Part of me really wants to just wait because I don’t want to know the answer to my question but I’m filled with curiosity about the postcards. I think I’ll wait until march 9… And then people can post their decisions to vertify my suspisions. But no offense I don’t think Andover would waste paper and mail the unpotential applicants, I think thy would sent it to the potential ones

Guys, you are reading way too much into this. They sent the postcards even before they read the applications. It’s probably something simple like off-campus vs on-campus interview. Just worry about myandover. It’s not like they went “oh hey… we don’t want to admit this person even though we haven’t read their application, so let’s not send a post card MUAHAHA.”

^ LOL, I’ll start. I had an on-campus interview. You?

I appreciate the humoring Silverstag but you just gave me a brilliant idea on the postcards, It’s probably just whether they’ve read your application or not. But you’re right, I reading too much into this, I;m just really nervous because this is my first year applying to a BS and it’s in my nature to read into things and determine what it means

@GoldenRatio off campus. Maybe that’s it.
@Prepgrad yeah I know what you mean. Somehow I want March 9 to come so the wait is over, but I don’t really want to find out my decisions
