so if you got rejected then it comes way later?

Ha, no, we ALL (7-12) get grades out of 100.
I worked my effing BUTT off for that average. It would be higher if my global studies teacher hadn't been a jerk and given me double 80s for participation (I talk to much off topic, lol).
I got a 99 in honors bio, 98 honors english, 100 Algebra I, 100 Spanish II, and 100 Studio Art. A 96 in global and a 96 in PE.

Our school is a joke, and my mom's a bio teacher. That explains some of the grades. :)

glitters:
No, not necessarily. Sometimes the reject letters will come the same time as acceptance, some times a few days later. I don't think they'd hold off on telling you for too long- you've got to make a decision somehow, just like they do.

woah, that's scary.

our school is known to kill your motivation to live, your self esteem, but most importantly, your transcripts.

it's no wonder that our smart people get into andover/exeter/sps/groton (none at choate LOL)

NOBODY in the history of my school has applied or attended a boarding school. The closest thing we have is a chemistry teacher (ZISKERS!! lol, sorry, can't help it) who went to a PG year at NMH.

I'm surprised at my grades in Algebra, at least... she's also my volleyball coach, and she's balls hard.

on the other hand, our teachers come from the MOST unknown universities in the world. we had one guy who graduated from harvard, but he and his wife ironically left to teach at -dundundun- boarding school! (in MA, not sure where though. it COULD even be groton mx or sms, but i highly doubt it)

i think our music/drama/fine arts teachers are the best ones. they at least came from decent, known places (i know that's discriminatory, but I mean like, if you had so much passion and devotion and talent in your subject and managed to get to this awesome school, then you should be a pretty good teacher)

Haha, kind of the same here. Except ALL our teachers are from Ithaca College or some private, liberal arts, Christian college up north. Not comparing the two, but those are the main types.

We have half and half- half dedicated, wonderful teachers, but they don't make up for the half that are *******S.

Sorry.

We have...

52 days until applications are due. (January 10th!)

111 days until acceptance letters! (March 10th!)

I personally have 16 days until my Exeter interview, and 17 days until my Andover interview. !!!

Oh, and a little tidbit...

36 days 'til Christmas!!

Only 10,220 days until retirement...YIPPEE!!!

Then again, given the current state of retirement assets, tack on another 2 or 3K days :(

Awww... Well, maybe you'll win the lottery!

Only 5 more days until I WIN THE LOTTERY!
(Now isn't THAT more optimistic? haha)

Maintaining a solid income stream for 10,220 days, give or take a few thousand, in akin to lottery winnings in these days. Ask anyone at Citi.

Beware of the "bubble effect" setting in before reaching campus...

"bubble effect"?
I'm guessing you mean the mindset that the school is a paradise and ALL my problems will disappear when I get there...
So not true.
I'll still be a stressed out, over-competitive, heartbroken (off topic, but still), maybe not smart enough girl. Just in a waaay better environment.

Saer-

I'm SURE you're a smart enough girl (this is the closest I'll ever get to a chances reply) :)

Remain hopeful...

Thank you :)
I'm pretty hopeful! Just not disillusioned.

110 days, 21 hrs, 00 min, 00 sec

Letters coming to your house and mine. =)

I put this on countdown calendar on facebook... Search for:

Category: Parties & Shindigs

haha that's awesome! sooooo joining.

I dare all of you to put march 10 on a countdown (preferably the first site that comes up when you google "countdown counter", because that's what I'm using) clock and MAKE IT YOUR HOME PAGE ZOMFG.
the days just get shorter ):

actually right now my countdown is on january first, not because of new years but applications (two of my schools are due postmarked by that day LOL so that means finish FASSTTT)
wow there are only like... 50ish days left. it's insane how fast this semester went.

and my grades just SUCKS.

Ooo wow good idea Italian! I just joined.

I can't find the group.. Italian =.=

You have to type in 'Countdown Calendar' in the search box, then add the app, and then in the app you'll see another search box, in THAT box you'll type in the Acceptance/Rejection Letters.

ohh ok thanks :D
