I’ve already finished all my apps for my “safety” and “match” schools, but I’m not even going to start my “reach” supplements until I find out about Columbia.

NWdivisionCHAMPS: your stats are great, and I don’t think they’ll care about 2 typos. Just be positive, and whatever happens happens! :]

I’m applying to 16 schools as of now- I know, crazy right? but my stats are most definitely NOT up to par and my parents feel like i’m wasting my time with my matches and safeties. i don’t know what i’m going to do with them once decision letters come out. good luck everybody- LESS THAN 1 MONTH TO GO!!!

the match and safety supplements are the EASIEST…i am doing those now haha
i put off all the “what will you take advantage of in this community” type essays.

i have two more major essays to write and some “why ____?s”

does columbia tell you if you got in through email, regular mail, through the application tracker, or a combination of any of these?

Last year, Columbia sent an email describing how to access the server with posted decisions. My son got that email a couple of weeks before the decision. If the same procedure is followed this year, you should receive an email soon.

ahhhhhhhhh really!?

i’ve been freaking out for a couple of weeks now!..a family friend, whose son graduated CU and works in the admissions office said we MAY know as early as the first week of December…thats next week! i hope they’re right, because the waiting is killing me.

so they don’t tell you on the “track your application” page on the website?

well, i just asked someone who was accepted last year RD…he said that he got his decision in the mail first. He thinks they overnight decision letters (at least for those accepted) the day before they are released online, so that you get it in the mail first…not sure if the same is true for international applicants.

^Last year, early decision letters were not mailed until the day the decisions were posted online (December 11).

ylmc123, as I recall, the decisions are posted on a different server from the “track your application” server. Ergo, the email next week telling you how to log on to get your decision.

ahhhhhhhhhh i’m freakin’ ovah here

How many days left?!

about two weeks?

If decisions come out on 10 December like people have been predicting, it’s less than two weeks… Even if they wait all the way until 15 December, it’s only two weeks and 3 days. Freakout time? I think yes. :

Ah!!!1

Just wondering, why have people been predicting December 10?
And are they going to send out an email that says the date they’ll notify people?

This waiting is killing me. I’ve been so distracted I can’t even start my other apps. Blah.

I think sometime next week (December 2nd-4th) we’ll get an email saying that decisions will be posted online around 5PM on December 10th.
People are saying December 10th-11th because that’s when they were posted last year.

Last year, decisions were posted at 5:00 pm, New York time, on December 11.
