From my Deerfield visit, I noticed something; If you had a conflict with your current English teacher(there were several posts/threads regarding these conflicts and disagreements) and could not get a recommendation from him/her, have your last year’s English teacher write you a recommendation and if it’s ‘worth keeping’(word of the secretary), the secretary will keep it and it’ll replace your current English teacher’s recommendation. (Happened to me ;))</p>
<p>Did anyone else notice how helpful the Deerfield admission office was? They are tied with Exeter as my favorite admission office.</p>

Negative time machine? I’m thinking more of a time machine that will bring me exactly to 11:00 pm, March 9th 2011. I feel like an hour of freak-out would be a good experience.</p>

<p>A piece of advice: If you haven’t already, you should probably tell your closer friends that you’re applying to boarding school instead of waiting until May when you’ve already gotten in and you have very little time left with them. =)</p>
<p>Did any of you get early admit decisions yet?</p>
<p>It’s very rare that schools do that. I think only siblings or recruits get unofficial early admits, and it’ generally not more than a week or two earlier than M10.</p>

<p>Many schools have online notification, so don’t worry too much about letters. The only schools I’m applying to that actually send letters are Deerfield and Andover.</p>

letter then, and crap 33 days now… this is gonna hurt real bad.</p>
<p>looking back, i wonder why i even bothered applying to andover… it’s pretty obvious from my ECs that i’m so far inferior LOL 
and my essay was really… risque, not sure if the adcom liked it. it’s a love it or hate it kind of thing</p>
