Awwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhh. >-)

Called admissions and got the same answer, “by April 1.” Ugh.

I will be honest. I don’t think that decisions are coming out tommorow. Among several things, tone of admissions officers and it being the 4th friday last two years, I think it will be next friday. Any other thoughts?

what tone are you alluding to? calling admissions is useless - they are not authorized to say anything but April 1st.

I think that decisions may still be released tomorrow. The decision dates of the last two years do fall on the 4th Friday of March. However, the aforementioned months each had 5 Fridays, rather than the 4 Fridays in the month of March 2014. Therefore, isn’t it possible that Rice traditionally releases the Friday before the final Friday of March, which would be tomorrow?

Maybe it’s the first Friday in the 20s.

Also, Rice has always released before the Ivies do, and Ivy Day is the 27th. That means it should be this Friday or next Monday (unless a Tuesday or Wednesday release is conceivable).

Will the decision be available on the student portal? Via email? Mail?

I’ve heard via email. That makes me much more nervous than checking a portal would.

I want my decision like right now. I can’t take it any longer!!!
I hope it’s tomorrow. I guess we’ll see…

My friend in Rice ( who apparently is a student who is working in admissions) says tomorrow afternoon.

I love you @Keepyourshirton! Thanks for the information.

I’m trying to stay calm but IDK how!

Check Northwestern: waitlisted…
Come on Rice don’t you play me as well…

@Keepyourshirton same, and I feel better because I’ve already committed to another school but I still want to know whether or not I would have been able to get in, you know?

Where have you committed @koalathebear?

Does anyone else have a strong fear of being waitlisted? I was already waitlisted at WUSTL, and I treated it as a rejection. But Rice is my dream school. I wouldn’t know how to respond.

@lenmen, I committed to Tulane when I received a full tuition merit scholarship! Honestly now I just don’t want to be rejected (I’d be okay if I were waitlisted). But if I do get accepted, my dad offered me $20 to turn down the offer by writing on a large poster sheet of paper like their diplomas.

(I’m not taking his offer.)

Oh @koalathebear that is rather unique…perhaps you should instead do it in the format of their rejection letter.(that is assuming you insist on doing this)

@tropicalslushies
I feel ya bro, I got waitlisted at every target school of mine so far, rejected at reach and accepted at safety—this is too predictable to my liking. Good news is Rice has been really friendly to me, replying emails, dealing with missing credentials etc. So who knows, maybe it’s time for a shift of luck.(Go Owls!)
