the mailing time doesnt matter so much as your location, the only time I would start getting worried is if I saw other posters on cc who got acceptances in CA and I still hadnt hadnt heard anything

yea....especially for stanford, which u KNOW we should get pretty soon if u get in :o

true, but I'm going to have my mom open all my college packages and hand me all the letters at once on april 5th, that way I'll have the acceptances with the rejections

if I made my mom promise to do that, i'd probably lose it and start rooting through the recycle bin for the envelopes so i could gauge whether or not it had good or bad news.

Wait, I'm sorry, so what day are they mailing them out? I'm sure its somewhere in this thread, but quite honestly I'm too lazy to read through 21 pages to find out! ;) Thanks!

i think april 1st but it might be earlier cuz for early they say we will notify u by december but they mailed like the 10th or so

Ok thanks! Just cuz I know that for some schools, like Stanford, they say the 1rst, but are really mailing them out the 29th...

how do you know that stanford's mailing them on the 29th?

because I think that was when they mailed them out last time

and yes, espescially for the schools that send emails or let u know online It will be a terrible temptation for me if I have my mom open up all the packages. I'll only check my duke decision because if I know I got in there then I would be much relaxed when looking at other letters

and yes, I might lose it too but then again at that time I will be having such a rolelr coaster ride of emotions that people around me wont notice

bally, are you serious? that would be SO nice as it'd guarantee me getting a decision by the 2nd!

If you look on the Stanford forum there is a Stanford student working in the admissions office who said so :)
