@ladylikeliz I usually stick to the same two books every time… but this test’s prompt was kind of weird so I had to really stretch things. It would have been best to use current events, though I’m not really up to date about the news.

hmm…that’s interesting LiquidBunn. My first time taking the SAT, the readers had no mercy. The prompt kind of confused me and they slapped me with an 8. Maybe the vague examples augment your writing style?

@upmaster I read quite often and i was scratching my head as to which book could’ve supported societal aid. I really wanted to use literary evidence but it just was not in the stars for me.

Really no idea I think its just luck. I filled up both pages the first two times as they say the more you write the better you do. My vocabulary and structure isn’t anything impressive though, very commonplace. Only filled up 1 1/2 pages this time though Please be at least 9…

@ladylikeliz the poisonwood bible worked for me since we read it in ap lit not too long ago. I also used fahrenheit 451 (super stretch; I depended on miscellaneous details, but it somehow worked)

aren’t anything impressive*

@liquidbunn do you have good handwriting? heard that works too ;)

My handwriting is terrible even I can’t read it sometimes haha. I guess it really was luck.

I got to a 1.5 pages. Tried to do more, but it wasn’t in me. I tied in the value of utilitarianism (i mean 4 years of ld debate has to amount to something? lol) along with a historic and current events example. A 10 would be great because I usually don’t miss more than -6 on Writing.

Poisonwood Bible actually sounds like a great example! I read it freshman year and have little recollection. Unfortunately my AP Lit teacher is always gone, so we haven’t read a single book in class yet :(

It’s going to be a ***** trying to fall asleep tonight.

for sure WJSidis. Can’t focus on my supplements

i’m so scared…

can’t go to sleep… yes, tried counting sheep.

I would love to get some sleep tonight, but I do not see how I will. I guess I will check just after midnight to see if they were posted early.

@coolpillow: Try thinking one sound, feeling, and thing you last saw before you turned off your lights. Then try thinking of two different sounds, feelings, and things you last saw that are different from before. Continue doing this until you fall asleep. It’ll be hard to think of stuff after a while, but just relax all of your muscles in your body and think.

out of curiosity where you guys looking at for schools?

Who here is in it for the long haul? I’m probably going to turn in around 12. I just want my scores already… If I misbubbled a math question, I will be sincerely upset.

Btw, to anyone hoping that the scores come out early: they don’t.

Hopefully server doesn’t crash again… like it always does.

@LiquidBunn: NYU, UCSD, UC Berkeley, Princeton, Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, and UPitt.

@StudiousMaximus: Not me, I’m getting ready to go crash right now. I’m on EST.

@liquidbunn I’m doing washu for ED so this sat is seriously going to make or break my life …
