THis is a 3rd-grade dream come true! I've been waiting too long! Today, Jan. 11th. Isn't Huygens going to arrive by Jan. 14th? Please post links and URLs inthis thread as well: I'm eager to see Titan close-up!!!!

What in the sam hell are you talking about?

I think its some kind of dork machine.

Dude, I actually did laugh out loud when I read your post.

He's talking about a space probe. The Cassini probe (visiting Saturn) is releasing a smaller probe (Huygen's) into Titan's (a moon of Saturn) atmosphere. If all goes well, we may get some interesting findings.

If you're interested, check out NASA's site for the mission: http://saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/home/index.cfm

i'm excited for it tooo!!! i actually do an internship at the american museum of natural history in manhattan and they're having a 'breakfast at titan' when huygens lands on titan. It's at 4 am though.. so i don't think i'll be going.. it'll be cool though to see the first pictures of titan fresh with some coffee in the morning. it's gonna be inside the planetarium too.. HOT STUFF

I attended a lecture called "The Rings of Saturn" at Caltech's Jet Propulsion Laboratories about this Cassini-Huygen's probe thing. It was really boring. I fell asleep. I wanted to shoot myself.

Well I... wait, that's right, I'm not a nerd. Thus, I don't care.

calidan

how rude of you to...oh wait...nevermind...i agree with you too.

Amen, Calidan.
