Scores have consistently come out at 5am EST. Some people receive their scores later…sucks for them.

Ok, I’ve had enough of all of this. This is coming from the heart.

Relax! Everyone here, well minus lopyfoot, needs to know that the SAT’s are not the end of the world. Let’s face it, even though you know you will get into Stanford, Yale, Harvard, Princeton, the odds are against you.

Live your life the way it’s supposed to be lived. When did your life depend on one test? It never has, and it never will.

Oh, and last point: When someone asks you your score in school ( and you suspect that this person may have scored relatively high), they are so insecure that they have to ask someone of lower SAT stature what their grade is in order to feel better about themselves. Then they will act like your 1700 is a great score. You know what, screw them!

God, what happened to the days when everyone applied to one or two colleges, took the SAT once and lived their lives? The American Dream has been squelched by this ridiculousness.

nooo, I’M the person with the high scores, so it’s awkward when people with LOW scores ask me…hence the dirty looks >=[[[ and just because i ask people about their SAT scores doesn’t mean i’m insecure pfff

Wouldn’t it just be so satisfying though, if somebody tried to do that, only to hear you casually respond that you got a 2300?

like i said…tomorrows going to suck

nottt if the asker gets a 2350

just a question: why do americans have an aversion to sharing their grades/test scores? i noticed that in some other cultures it’s pretty acceptable

wake me up!! before score come out

Because America is all about everyone is equal and so trying to show that you are better than someone is a sign of disrespect to try to create an “us” and “them.”
Other cultures value superiority over each other to show that an individual is “superior”

i’d love to brag about my sat score if it was socially acceptable =]

Amen Relaxbuddy!

If someone asks what you got, just say you got straight 750’s. That will definitely lower your self esteem, in turn raising yours. There are always the arrogrant students who need to hear what other kids got in order to make themselves feel better. Well make sure these arrogant fools don’t feel better tomorrow! 750+ all around! Cheers!

Just as a note:

Scores generally come out a 5 am for most people. CB lists the release time at 8, because its more easier for them to give a later approximation than an earlier one.

I.e. If they say scores are released at 5 and they aren’t, then they get millions of emails/calls/etc. complaining. If they say scores are released at 8, and scores come out at 5, everyone (including CB) is happy.

7 hrs

I’m expecting a 2150 tomorrow but I think Im just gonna tell everyone I got a 1750, just so I can see the fake look on their face when they try to congratulate me. And then they’ll tell me theres, and deep down I can laugh that I got better than them =p

^hahahahahahahahahah i can legitly laugh at u if u get a 2150

are there any east coasters here pulling all nighters???

@Pear - Americans don’t share their test scores. When someone asks us what we got on a test, we give the common BS’ed answer “I’m happy with my score” or “I didn’t do as well as I had hoped.” In this country, you’re viewed as rude if you talk about your superior skills because you make people feel bad about themselves. You could say that we are courteous. Or you could say that there are too many jealous people in America. Personally, I would love to live somewhere where I can talk about my scores without people looking down on me for scoring low or being mad at me for scoring highly.

6 hrs 40 minutes!

freightrain

i did that for the 1st SAT i took, but it totally not worth it

not only did i enter a deep depression, but i also fell asleep in all my classes the next day

I don’t get it…why not just say you didn’t take it or you canceled your scores?..

Maybe it’s different in New York, or just my school, but everyone shares scores. We don’t care if someone does better or worse than us.
