oh don't worry dragon, i'll sned you pictures as soon as we get to the top. i think you should blow them up to life size and hang them up everywhere, me and crikett would be like idols! lol.

24 dayss!!!!! ahhhhh i am soo nervous!

AHHHH 24!
I am scared out of my mind!
LOL I have soo much free time without the applications =]
I have to catch up on schoolwork! =[

good idea catch up. Do you know if the Boarding schools want your third and fourth quarter grades?

I think they ask for it a lot of the time...
AHH noo
my grades dropped for 2nd quarter...
I think they ask if you are on a waitlist, and sometimes they ask even if you are not on a waitlist...

i know that colleges ask for grades and not let you in if your grades are bad.

It is my understanding you will need to provide all of this year's grades to the school you're planning on attending. If you are accepted, you will still need to send in your 3rd and 4th quarter transcripts. In my daughter's case, each acceptance letter had a sentence stating her acceptance was contingent upon the receipt of her final report card.

In addition, your placement in classes will be dependant on grades in addition to the recommendations and possibly placement tests.
Go downhill on your grades and you might lose that honors class placement.

Jennycraig--
Boarding schools ask for you 3rd and 4th quarter grades??

Yes, they did in my daughter's case. We had signed the contract, sent in the deposit, but still had to send in her final report card in June. I thought it was standard procedure for all schools, but it could have just been her school.

Perhaps other parents will post if their child's school also required a final transcript.

Not to answer for Jenny, but I do know that the 8th graders at my son's school last year that applied out last year had to send final grades. Definately class placement is dependant on how you do for the year.

Thanks Linda :)

of wow, the pressure never ends does it? But i guess i should get used to this since i want to go to a school with tons of pressure next year.

Wait, jennycraig.

Once you are accepted, you're accepted, right?? What would need to happen to your grades for them to revoke your acceptance??
*I'm not worried, but a little astonished. I thought the pressure to preform WAS over.

well, it's not like if you get a B or 2 they're going to revoke the acceptance, but if you were a 4.0 when you applied and then had all c's at 3rd quarter, they're gonna know something's up.
