Counting your best vs. being well-rounded

Okay, so obviously it's important to have varied subject tests to show you're good at more than one thing. But then when a school says they're going to count your highest scores, what if they're both in the same subject? My only 2 out of 4 scores in the 700's are World History and U.S. History. Will this look like I'm not well-rounded?

Hey Marcella,

I don't think it matters that much, especially since NYU is your first choice (I think?) and most of their applicants don't have 700+ on their SAT IIs. As far as well-rounded goes, if your grades in school in other areas besides history are good, then you should be fine. Plus, being well-rounded doesn't always mean that will get you in =)

I'm having this same dilemma as well...2/3 of the SAT IIs I took were in Math so I'm debating whether or not I should take Lit in November. I got myself a practice test book for it and it seems like there is not enough time to read and comprehend everything!
