I'm a mostly B student, with the occasional A's. I know they ask for your full transcript, and I've been doing pretty bad lately (3 C's 3 B's on most recent report card), but my GPA remains at a 3.14 unweighted, 3.8 weighted. I have very good PSAT and FCAT scores. Do I have a chance of getting in?

Also, is a one week course enough, or would taking a two week course be better?
I would love to hear feedback on courses you have taken!

Would attending the summer program look good on a college application to a mildly competitive school or would it just be seen as "she has enough money to pay for summer programs"?
Let me know :)

It will not help your application, but it will not hurt it either. Go if you think you’ll have fun, but don’t expect to gain any edge in the admissions process.

Summer@brown accepts about 50% of applicants…as long as you get A’s you are in. In your case, you might still get in, since the program is a ‘this kid has money’ situation.

That being said, it’s definitely what you make of it! The classes are taught by actual Brown professors and the university’s resources are open to you. If you want an experience that really shows you college life, you’ll want to do 2-3 weeks.
