Just moved up here and I'm a little lost as far as the surrounding area....

Where's the closest place to get a bike lock? target is pretty far away

Is fatburger any good?

Where are some semi-decent places to go for lunch/dinner? I'm not interested in expensive places. Something more along the lines of an Islands or a CPK style restaurant. Got a friend coming up tonight and I don't feel like dropping $50-80 in west hollywood for dinner

Haha, yeah fatburger is fine. It sounds unhealthy but I've actually heard of all of the burger places they use the leanest meat and have the lowest fat content :)

You can buy a bike lock at the Bookstore or in the University Village Bike Shop. There's a place, can't remember what street it's down, that's a bike shop (I got my bike there - really nice customer service) that's near the Leonardo's club.

Fatburger is pretty good - of course, kinda have to go there only once in a while. Fast food is never healthy :p

For semi-decent places for lunch/dinner, I'm not going to say it's exactly expensive but it's costly: the Upper Commons. Lol...but really, they have good food. Right next to campus, there aren't exactly many restaurants. However, there's a Chipotle/Quiznos at the Tuscany building, a Sizzler across the street from New/North, and a lot more places near downtown.

haha I actually like the boba place (their popcorn chicken is really good) but its pretty close to fast food so I wouldn't take friends there unless they really like boba. haha. (i forgot what this one was good.. Boba time? It's up figuroa next to the popular mexican place)

I usually just treat them to a korean bbq :) (20 dollars per person, eat however much they want) kinda expensive if you have to pay for everybody though...
