I was wondering what people would recommend within a walking distance of USC.
I wanted to try some near by places for a quick lunch (since when I go out, I usually drive somewhere else)

I've been really wanting pho lately but dunno anywhere around in a walking distance to just get some! I crashed my car so.. LOL.

Anyways any suggestions for pho/food in general? I wanted to check out some places near by and stay away from places I goto all the time ^^

This sushi place around 28th and figueroa is kinda expensive but so worth it. It's across from Panda Express and in line with Domino's, chinatown express, goodwill, and pasta roma.

yeah chipotle, chanos, subway, UV I've been to obviously as I lived here for awhile. :)

I haven't been to the KFC around here, sushi, or pasta roma though. in fact, i didn't even know there was a sushi place around here! how much is it?? And pasta roma, is it easy to just order to go?? What about viztango? I heard it's decent :/. Does pasta roma only sell pasta or do they have some sandwiches too?

Does the school still sell those sushi they used to sell once up on a time at tro gro? I checked out the lot before but no sushi...

And also to other people, I recommend the boba shop next to the bank of america ATM between chanos/panda express. They have really excellent popcorn chicken that I snack on all the time

If you're in the mood for fast food fried chicken there's a popeye's up on the corner of adams and fig.

Popeye's makes their chicken ridiculously greasy ("real" fried chicken, like you would get in the south, is actually almost anything but greasy) but otherwise it's pretty good and miles ahead of KFC.

Plus, the KFC south of campus on fig is closed, so there's only the one north anyways. Both are a bit far from Tuscany anyways for walking, so it might be moot.

Subway in UV is pretty good, iirc they give student discounts

^ another alternative for fried chicken is superior. It's not really great but it's cheap. I usually get 2 chicken pieces for like 1.25 + .50 pack of cole slaw.

Yes they still sell sushi at trogro. However, at literatea, they have prepackaged fancier sushi... like the kind with the sashimi on top rather than just in the cut roll.

Pasta Roma has paninis. You can order to go. It's a fast casual restaurant, so it won't come out as quickly as McDonald's, but it's still faster than a normal sit-down.

I like Pasta Roma better than Viztango's because of the price, but at Viztango's you get free bread, which is nice. The garlic knots at Pasta Roma are awesome, but you only get 2 free with an entree (extras are $.25 each).
