i recommend buy used books for a couple of weeks (unless they have wrapper around them) and then buy them online and when you get it, return the used book back to cornell. it's much cheaper that way. except for a few like course reading lists that's only at cornell store or lab manuals or whatnot. and your orgo book. which i would sell on ebay or something and get more money than it cost ^_^

Are you referring to the textbooks or the red Courses of Study books?

cheap places to buy books? I've heard of some websites.. forgot what they are though, some thing like cheapcollegebooks.com oh well. I try to save as much money as i can .

where are good places to buy used books? When quynh says return them back to cornell after coupla weeks, do you mean you can get used book from campus bookstore etc, and the books sold online a coupla weeks in shoudl be much cheaper?

ebay's half.com
and we have a listserve of students selling back books too and if you wait long enough, ppl who drop the class will sell it back for cheaper.
bigredexchange? a website that lets cornell ppl sell and buy/trade books
the best would be to borrow from the library, but those can be recalled easily. i use borrowdirect. i currently have a book from princeton, and none of my borrowdirect books have been recalled
