Did anyone have a problem with class enrollment when living in the dorms, as far as the internet being bogged down with everyone trying to log on at the same time?

Yes, that will happen. So if you’re not signing up for classes that are in really high demand, just sleep an extra hour and register for classes after the tidal wave has passed.

If you are signing up for high-demand classes, here is my advised course of action:
- write out your classes and their numbers in priority order for easy reference
- sign in to the system 10-15 minutes before the coursenroll begins to make sure it’s working (if it doesn’t, go to the nearest computer lab)
- add classes in the order that you pre-determined
- be patient

Good luck and welcome to another beloved Cornell ritual! (Although older alums will just counter these complaints with the days that they had to sign up for classes in Barton hall with slips of paper.) :p

it’s worth noting, I think that each specific course has its own specific class number. so if there are lots of different time the course you want will meet, you don’t just want to know it’s called COUR 1001, you want a number that looks like 2293 (four digits), which indicates COUR 1001 meeting at 10:10 MWF in Rm 100.

Happens every year. Sign up for your least flexible classes first and leave the ones with lots of sections for later.
