D has started looking at Fall 2006 courses online. How does enrollment work with limited numbers? How is it decided who gets into a course?

you are assigned enrollment periods by random lottery.

truthfully, if you don't get in a class that you really want to take, just e-mail the prof. and show up to the first class. nine times out of ten, the teacher will you give an over-ride code.

Sulsk's pretty much right. The only classes than can be finickey are labs and language classes. Also creative writing workshops are capped at 12 and you have to submit either an application or a portfolio before the first day of class.

Ca you please tell me where I can find the Fall 2006 courses?

start here -- http://www.brandeis.edu/registrar/

many useful links for registration info including course schedule and new student info.

when considering courses, go to union.brandeis.edu/ceg
that has evaluations of courses (and instructors) from the last six years. very helpful when making decisions. (you'll need to have a UNET ID to access the information, so only marticulated students can view the guide.)

Thanks a lot sulsk. This a very useful link. Just one query, what is the maximum overall score that can be received by a course?

Sorry, was being too hasty. Its given there. (5)
