I was looking over the masters programs at Texas Tech and was interested in possibly enrolling in a masters program in Exercise and Sports Sciences. However, I received a D in Anatomy and don't know if this would bode well for graduate admissions. I took it early on in my college career and it was just a debacle for me. I am set to graduate in December with an undergrad degree in ESS and am currently signed up for Anatomy online. However, I am wondering if it is worth the trouble because my course load is currently 19 hours which includes Biopsychology and Applied Exercise Physiology which have comparable study loads to Anatomy. I feel it might be overwhelming. Without Anatomy I would be taking 15 hours. So my question is if I decided to retake Anatomy after graduation at a Community College would it carry as much weight as if I retook it prior to graduation? Which would be a better option? The last day to drop is September 10 so I need to make a decision before then. Thanks ahead of time for your replies.

You say you took Anatomy early on. If your later grades are much stronger and your GPA is good enough to get admitted to the graduate program you seek, you should concentrate on the other courses you are taking and not repeat Anatomy with such a heavy load. Once you are admitted and if they think you need a bit of remedial work in Anatomy, you can take it at that time. Don’t sacrifice your semester to repeat a course.
