Course Rigor: Something I couldn't Control Half of HS

I took the most rigorous courses available to me Freshman-Sophomore year which was all honors. My small private school didn’t offer AP classes until Junior year (only 2). So, since I wanted to take more than 2 AP classes my Junior year, before the start of junior year I switched to a private school similar to the one I was at before, except that I was able to dual-enroll at a state college (NOT community college). So, Junior year I am taking all dual-enroll state college classes. I am wondering If this will look bad to schools like Stanford. I took the most rigorous courses available to me, and then I Switched schools junior year so I could take more rigorous classes. Will colleges see that I could do nothing about this? and that i took the most rigorous courses available to me? Or will they think that I just didn’t want to take AP???

No.

Yes.

Top colleges want you to take the most rigorous courseload possible that’s available at the school No college expects an applicant to invent course rigor where none exists. Most HS’s send along a school profile with the GC rec which lists any restrictions that are placed upon the students.

FWIW, most HS’s that offer AP’s don;t allow freshman and sophomores to take them, or if they do, they are for courses like APHG that top colleges don’t give credit for anyway.
