I am certain that I want to take the medicine route, and looking at the UVA SIS, I am really confused on what courses to take. Would you recommend taking any certain classes the first year? Whether it is biology first semester or chem the second semester, I have no idea about anything right now as a first generation. Please help! Thank you!

Normally the sequence for pre-medical requirements is:

First-Year
General Chemistry and Lab (6 credits)
Calculus (6 credits)

Second-Year
General Biology and Lab (5 credits)
Organic Chemistry and Lab (6 credits)

Third-Year
Physics and Lab (4 credits)

Remember that you should start the introductory sequences in the Fall Semester.
