Course Selection problem, help please

This is my first thread on CC, so I appreciate all the help everyone.

Anyway, my school operates on a slightly odd, utilitarian, scheduling system. A lot of the time, one cannot get the classes he or she wants simply because one course conflicts logistically with another. This of course happened to me senior year, and I am having trouble deciding between the two. On one hand I have a really hard, academic schedule; on the other I would have less work, but more of the classes I enjoy. Also, FYI -> I'm looking to apply to elite schools (which is my major gripe about the easier schedule). These are my possibilities of academic classes (not including the reqd. PE and Religion classes).

So here it goes:

AP US history
AP Lit
AP Comp SC A
AP Physics C
AP Calc BC

OR

AP Lang
AP Comp SC A
AP Physics C
AP Calc BC
Hon US History
Microbiology (AP Bio prerequisite, mostly lab experience).

In all probability an elite Ivy wouldn't deny me admission because I didn't take AP US. At the same time, Microbiology would give me a lot of the info I would need while I'm IN college. I'm really having difficulty here because I'm not sure if the second option is elite ivy material on its own. Not to mention I'm also changing Lit --> Lang, and I don't know how big a deal that is. Also, just for some background, I've already taken AP Bio, Chem, Calc AB, and Spanish Lang.

Cheers.

Definitely the 2nd one...I expected something drastic but it's not even a "scheduling dilemma" at all, or the worst I've seen so far. No offense, but this doesn't even seem like an actual serious problem...
