senior course selection..urgent help needed

Hello, I need help with my senior course selection.

This year, I took AP Physics C: Mech. I was originally planning to take E&M next year, but not enough people signed up ( 2 to be exact ). So they had to cancel the class. Therefore, I chose AP Chem as my 2nd choice. That's all well and good, until today. My counselor just told me that they canceled the AP chem class ( I guess because the teacher is incompetent but they didn't want to look for a new one ).

Now, I have two choices: AP Bio and AP Computer Science. I'm really not into Biology ( I didn't like it when I took Honors Bio freshman year), but I'd like to keep the strength of my schedule intact. I really would love to learn programming, especially when I plan to major in Applied Computational Math, but I'm worried that AP Comp Sci would look like a weaker substitute when it comes to college admissions.

Any suggestions? I have to make a decision as soon as possible, tomorrow will be nice.

Moral of the story: Catholic schools suck.

anyone? 10char

Take AP CS. If it really is a major concern, you can probably have your counselor explain the situation. But substituting a class which you’re not interested in with a class that you are interested in and is going to be useful to you because it looks slightly stronger is silly. Especially when they’re both AP classes.

AP comp sci

take the class that you ACTUALLy want to take, plus their both ap

Will the colleges look down on the fact that I only took 3 years of lab science when I have AP Bio as a class that I could’ve taken?

^Depends on the type of college, but why would they look down on you for taking three years as the minimum?

Just take classes that you’re interested in.

“Will the colleges look down on the fact that I only took 3 years of lab science when I have AP Bio as a class that I could’ve taken?”

So long as you’ve taken at least a high school level Chemistry and Biology class, no.
