i have taken AP Chinese while i was in school and i got a 4, i'm wondering if i will get any credit for taking German

You’d have to talk to Harpur Advising, or check the website for the equivalency tables.

I am positive you have completed ur foreign language requirement. If you want to take a new language for fun, your German class won’t count toward ur foreignlanguage requirement anymore because it’s been fulfilled by chinese, so it’ll be considered an elective credit.

when you say elective credit, what do you mean by that??

It means credit toward graduation that doesn’t fulfill a specific requirement.

i assume this means if i meet 150 credit to graduate and my requirement credit only have 130s, I can take whatever courses i want for elective credit.

I’m not really sure what you mean… If you get elective credit it means that you’re not fulfilling specific major, gen ed, or Harpur W requirements (if you’re in Harpur) and just adding another 3-4 credits toward the 12X you need to graduate.
