Oh wait!!! I did have that section!!! nvm!

Oh yeah, in the last paragraph it says something about questioning an institution that's widely tolerated.

Oh yeah, in the last paragraph it says something about questioning an institution that's widely tolerated.

I assume that the same "version" of the test would be in every way identical, including the experimental sections?

yep o for the jap girl with art passage, one of the questions about the meaning of cast? was it assign or put forth? Also, the description of the art, was it an indicator of how the girl felt about her own approach to art? JIm, I guess so

Put forth.

Can't remember the second question. If you're talking about when she's looking at the lady's work, I chose the option that said she reached a self-realization about her own work (or something along those lines... it's all getting foggy by now, lol).

yeah put forth
yeah something like self realization of her own style or something

the answer had the word approach in it? for the second question?

i cannot recall

um,,,in that african travelogue passage... "of historical merit" or something like that?

Do you guys remember the math question about set Z with arithmetic mean z and set X with arithmetic mean x? Given x < y < z, what are possible arithmetic means of the combined sets? I. x; II. y; III. z.

Because x is not z, the average of both sets must be somewhere in between; it can only be Y (II).

anything else for grammar?

o thank heavens i put ii but wasn't sure

i have one for grammar.....

ok the hurricanes one was it no error or did you have to change its to their i wasn't sure

:( that makes sense... I chose all three of them, thinking x and z would cancel out, but yeah, you're right, we don't know the spacing between them.

can u elaborate on the hurricans question?

i think it said something about coming from west to the east, and i am sure hurricane's' had the s at the end, and then later it said somethign about it using "its" and it was underlined. to my recollection the rest of the sentence looked fine, but i felt awkward referring "huriccanes" with "their", so i think i went with no mistake....but i might've changed it in the end
AHH i cannot remember i'm undergoing repression

Anyone else find it funny how many posts are in this thread and how there are only 4 posters?

This thread made me feel a lot better about my test - until the math question about the sets. Do you guys feel more relieved?

sry dont remember, cant help unless u can write out the exact sentence

ah ok.....maybe it'll come back later
schitz: yeah definitely beats waiting 3 excruciating weeks

Anyone remember the last problem before the grid ins? It gave a chart of 3 x and y pairs, and then you had the formula: y = ax + b. I remember putting in 5/2 or 2/5 as an answer.

5/2 i think

i put 2/5 hm

i think on the chart there was one where x was 0, so you plug that in the equation to find B. my b came out to be 1. then you pick any other 2 on the chart and plug that in to find slope? argh i don't remember
