did u guys get guarded for 1 one the CR questions? I dont remeber which passage it was

good, makes me feel better.

Are you talking to me, tonysu?

Guys, with the map question: you're focusing on the physical map rather than the narrator's interpretation of its actions. He says that he can literally see the rivers waiting for Lewis to make his point. If this isn't personification (animation!) then I don't know what is.

I got the same as ajk

the map is animate

i remember those few sentences were really well-written. the map was just described as a creature that listened to lewis and responded knowlingly. animate must be the answer

for my last post, i mean i agree with ajkcorner1

I had cryptic at first...but it really had nothing to do with the way the map was being described. You had to really stretch to make it cryptic because you had to inference things, which you're not suppose to do.

"1) The first sentence serves to define the term "movement" in the context of the passage.

2) Black artists and writers helped to alter the perceptions of blacks in art."

1) what were the other choices.

Now that stumps me. I have a tendency to spot my answer right away and don't really read the other answers. Mostly works, sometimes doesn't :)

did u get "guarded for 1 of the reading comprehension questions? I dont remember which was passage it was tho

it was asking for the tone of the sentence. but i remember it was "decisive".

i didnt put on didactic and i think i choose the map is valuable? something like that cuz it says the they opened the map slowly and carefully...so..

well. w/e i agree with all other answers btw.

there were 2 questions based on lines 9-14
I think the other one had to do with the meaning of the hand gestures
anyone remember that one?

im sure it was animate

but ajk i dont remember 7 or 9 please refresh

wut hand gesture? plz indicate more specifically..

it was the way in which Lewis' hand was over the map

it was def omnipotent

ozarka - love your product btw

7) The part of the passage in question describes the sense of anticipation that the narrator feels when Lewis describes the purity of the riverland. The highlighted sentences describe his arms tingling.

9) The narrator responds to Lewis' desire to visit the river before it's spoiled by first thinking about how development would spoil the river and then contrasting that with how he imagines the river to be right now.

For a good reason why the answer is omnipotent, go to either the Comic Book passage thread or the Hispanic girl thread.

omnipotent..i remember that. i put that down! yeah!

but so far i know i skipped 5 and i erased 2 rite SC and put another wrong answers. : (

was alaska "undevelopped" tho? or was it "wild/untamed"
i remember him saying how the real estate ppl hadn't moved there yet.

i think it is undevelopped.
