~~CR Lewis Map Passage Discussion~~

I don't think that "wild/untamed" was an answer choice. I just couldn't remember the exact choice and used synonyms. The answer is "undeveloped".

phew. ok thats good.

ajk, almost all of my answers match yours, but I was wondering about this one-

3) The purpose of the passage is to analyze the durability of the term "cool".

Do you remember what the other answers were? I'm pretty sure that I put something else =X

For the question with the answer "ironic"

does anyone know what the choices were o

or

why it was ironic?

its something about the real estate ppl i guess..

and i refer to the last sentence in the passage and decides to put down ironic..

i dont know if it is rite or not..but turns out IRONIC is the rite answer..

im happy. lol

i put ironic cuz for them its a heaven but its not really for the like of lewis
that was my process

Another answer for the passage was "contemptuous" for Lewis's tone when he talked about the real estate people coming.

"Ironic" refers to the use of "heaven" -- he meant something different from what he said, so it's an example of irony.

yajimari - Sorry, I don't really remember the other choices. My memory is not that good...

Whoops, I knew I forgot to put down a question.

11) Lewis' tone is "contemptuous" as he talks about the greedy real-estate developers spoiling the riverland.

I doubt it's omnipotent. I know I put something else
(don't even remember the question)

Well, 8parks11 your doubt is duly noted. Let's move on.

it was deft. i put deft. anybody put deft for omnipotent answer??

im 99% certain that it was omnipotent because they kept using adjectives meaning everywhere within those few lines and it seemed as though wat he was doing had power over the landscape. It never mentioned that he did anything skillfully. it seemed more like he was all-powerful, somewhat godlike.

omnipotent
he was not jugglinng the mmap or folding it with one hand :0

it was omnipotent...there was no room for other answers on that one....!

btw for the first question about how the map was depicted
was it ANIMATED?

Yes animated and omnipotent WERE THE ANSWERS!!! GUARANTEED

The narrator reacts to Lewis' description of the wild river by visualizing the river in two completely different states (i.e. developed and pure)

what were the choices for this one ? thanks

umm one is something like undeveloped?

aight well first of all what was the question....second of all what were the choices

thanks
