Crappy Situation regarding Harvard app

<p>I accidentally forgot to look through Harvard’s supp. app. info when giving out my teacher recs. Basically I just gave my teachers the normal common app. recs (including my counselor’s recc.) Looking through the app. now, I see that Harvard requests that the counselor fills out a different form with more options and checkboxes.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, I can’t contact her anymore because it’s Christmas break. I won’t see her anymore until after January 1 deadline. I guess it’s still possible to contact her, but I really can’t accept the thought of bothering her during X-mas break, especially after giving her the recs last minute. :(</p>

<p>If I continue to apply to Harvard even with the normal rec. from the counselor provided in the common app, will this really hurt me? Am I basically a reject since I didn’t thoroughly plan my application?</p>

<p>Talk to the adcoms. I doubt that it will hurt you. They also may give you time to have your counselor submit the correct form.</p>

<p>on the harvard site when i click secondary school report and counselor rec..the same exact one from the common app appears..</p>

<p>harvard wants your counselor to fill out the common app, plus the harvard school report supplement.</p>

<p>there is a "school report part II". that's the supplement.</p>

<p>well if u click the school report thing on the harvard app and scroll down..harvard has its own supplement for the school report too..ugh..</p>

<p>you have to send the secondaty school report supplement but it is ok even if it goes after the deadline. the same thing happened to me when i applied early and i called Harvardand told them about it and they said it was no big deal</p>

<p>waiiiit. All i did was give my counselor the secondary school report from the common app. I thought this is all we needed. So what is this 'other' form we have to give our counselor? Will harvard like...call to let us know we are missing something?</p>

<p>nealious, there are two forms to be given to your counselor. the first form is the common app. the second form, which is called "secondary school report part II", has the words "Harvard for Entrance in Fall 2005".</p>
