No question about it - Crash Course was a big help.

That’s good to hear since I bought it for my son and he read it a couple of times.

absolute godsend.

no it wasn’t… it only helped on like 3 multiple choice -_-

Other opinions?

Really? I felt it helped me for about 40-50. I knew the book thoroughly and did some real exams, and I felt I had done most of the questions before.

I took APUSH last summer.
I forgot everything.
I read Crash Course yesterday and it really helped refresh my memory.

and I’m extremely at ease right now… I’m pretty sure I got a 5 unless somehow I get terrible scores on essays.

NEXT YEAR APUSH STUDENTS: GET CRASH COURSE.

tytytyty ■■■■.

Wow I should be a salesperson for this book or something… but no kidding: it’s amazing!

do they have an AP bio crash course and where do i get it?

It was pretty good, but i don’t think it was that big of a help.

Didn’t help me much.

I skimmed crash course in like 30 minutes, and it seemed to be lacking a lot of (what I think is) key facts. It did refresh my memory a little though, because I would read through the chapters and get really frustrated that they left out a certain fact, thus helping me remember it…

BTW, crash course is pretty much a compilation of questions from past exams… I took 1988, 1996, 2001, and 2006 tests and I recognized a lot of the same phrases in the book were lifted from questions.

Honestly, the only positive point about crash course is it’s conciseness. The three different sections in the book pretty much contain the same information, it’s just organized into different sections.

In conclusion: pick up (or more preferably, borrow) crash course if you want a quick review the morning of the test. In this category it is unparalleled. However, if you have any more than a day to study, find a more concise book.

Feel free to disagree with me. You guys may have been gifted with a greater memory than me, because it doesn’t take much for me to forget things that I study. I just prefer more thorough reviews.

I felt that Crash Course DID NOT help at all on the MC.

That being said, it helped tremendously on the FRQs.

^the same. It did not help at all for my MC. It’s actually very detrimental if you read it before you start practicing previous year AP tests, since IT’S WORDED EXACTLY LIKE PAST MC QUESTIONS. It gives a false measure of your ability. I only got 7 wrong on a past exam, but I felt that I did horribly on today’s MC. I walked in feeling I could get the same results when I probably didn’t.

^ same here :|

crash course definitely helped me. those little test tips were golden. also, the review of literature came in handy; i would have never even thought to study them had it not have been for crash course.
