They totally failed fair scoring this time, but I sure hope they don't change our scores, there will be major lawsuits involved.

The CR curve was CRAZily generous. I was aiming 740+ and what do I get?
770!!!

btw, I'm an international and my friends who SUCK in english got 700+
CR. This is strange. they got 710~700

Now I feel ****ed. I'm in the same 700s with my friends who don't have the same
english capability. 740 and 670 shows huge difference. 710 and 770 shows practically no difference.
I want a 740 and I believe my friends should've gotten 670~650.

The collegeboard totally failed a right curve for CR.

and the writing?

All my friends, including the one who scored 750 on January got less than 700
I got a 700 but I'm in the 96%. (students in my country are better in writing
since cutthroat overachievers find it easier to score better on writing...oh asians!)

I think I deserve 50 more points for Writing, along with my friends.

Collegeboard seems so incompetent.
Isn't the whole purpose of SAT trying to reflect academic competence through scores on a scale of 200 to 800?
This time they failed!!!!!!

I think my 770 verbal will recieve less value since EVeryone scores 700+ on this SAT (even my friends who don't know s*** about enlgish)
and my 700 writing, an unfairly low score, will just look bad.

I'm perfectly content, and even thankful for my CR score, but what I'm complaining about is that collegeboard totally failed to reflect
academic performance this time.

I don't think SAT is meant to truly reflect academic performance.

After all, plenty of Olympiad people (IMO, IPhO, etc.) don't get a perfect score on the SAT, and they're just about the best people in academics.

According to CB, each test has a variation of about 30 points; therefore, it's not hard to imagine that you and a few of your friends scored a little higher in CR and a little lower in writing in this particular round. Your sample size is way too small to come to any broad conclusions.

The CC sample is biased; students with higher scores are more likely to post. Have you tried comparing this October's CR scores to the CR scores of the past few administrations? Such a comparison might give more convincing support for the idea that the CB scored the October tests wrong.

I haven't gotten my scores yet, I was just hoping for a 700+ (or a 700 would do just fine) in CR soooo I'm hoping that by some change the curve was really really nice and offset how badly I did on the vocab and I'll be happy with it. Worried about writing though since the general trend seems to be a lot of "what the heck?!" when people see their lower scores...
