Crazy idea: a "Stubhub" style website where you can exchange admissions offers

Example: I would trade an offer admission from Amherst to get off the wait list at Notre Dame to an admitted student at Notre Dame who was wait listed at Amherst. Not ever going to happen, obviously, but I’d be curious to hear what you’d be willing to trade.

I’d trade my 5 acceptances and a waitlist for an MIT acceptance letter

Yup lol I would trade my 5 acceptances for an offer to any one of the schools in my top 4.

I would trade my 4 waitlists for 1 acceptance

It’s an interesting idea, but for the offers to have any value, you would have to turn them into a single acceptance and then trade that with others who did the same.

And, you’d have to have an admissions officer from each school review the trade.

That would be really cool, if they were single acceptance offers because you can only go to one school. But financial aid would be the real kicker there. Would it transfer, or would the new school have to make an offer or what?

Pls. Uchicago for JHU anyone?

It’d be nice if we could give acceptances away to others who really want to go to that school as their top choice.

I would give my 4 acceptances and 2 full tuition scholarships just to get off the waitlist at Barnard.

Probably just easier to switch identities for four years…
