Creative Topics for College Essays

I was thinking about various interesting experiences that I had and that I could potentially carve an essay about. Although it sounds weird, I got locked out during the weekend this summer in Wash. DC without a single person to go to (I came to visit for a month), and how I spent a day looking for a way to get back into the appartment, often comes to mind. Btw, I ended up finding a ladder in 6 hours and climbing into the kitchen window :) It is quite a stupid experience, but it brought me to think about how one will will always have some success if he tries hard enough.

Do you think this would be a good college essay topic, or it is inappropriate, too childish, or not significant enough? I appreciate your insight. :)

It all depends on how you write it, and what message you send across

The topic that allows you to write the most personal, detailed, honest and revealing essay is the best topic for you.
