Doesn’t seem like the college essays forum is very active so this seemed like the next best thing. These are my essay options, if you have any input on how to tweak them or make them more interesting unique, please reply! oh and tell me which one you think is the best/most unique/creative.

1.Going to India one summer thinking that i’m just gonna waste 6 weeks of my summer vacation and instead, my grandpa teaching me how to build a computer (learned how to barter and buy), which i eventually used the skills to start a little homebased business selling hand built computers.

Stick with topic one or two. Other people's diet and exercise routines are deadly boring for the reader and make the writer seem self-absobed.

Neither of these "rites of passage" topics is highly creative. It's all in how you present the information. My advice is to write, write, write, for as long as you can on each topic. Then, put on your reader's hat and ask yourself where the best writing is. Which essay serves the purpose of describing you and conveying your approach to life, your value to a school? Finally, hire yourself as an editor, cut down the number of words and sharpen your focus.
