creative writing or literature?

pros for creative writing:
fun
get good feedback
easy for me
might help me in the long run (novel writing, story writing, etc.)

cons:
can be hard too
not very structured
not too used to the creative writing style
some classes are held at night
i don't really like poetry, and will have to take 2 poetry classes (but poetry really does get my creative juices flowing)
haven't been creative for a while. might be a little harder to get back on track

pros for literature:
used to the essay and writing style
like reading the texts
less requirements than CW
seminars can be kind of fun sometimes
taken these kind of classes more than CW

cons:
will have to deal with romanticism, modernism, etc.
hate reading some of the texts
had a nightmare about taking these classes!

actually, i'm still open to other majors. but i'm still trying to decide between the two.

Why don't you take a few classes in each and then see which one you like more?

i'm already a junior. don't have too much time for that. wasted my previous quarters trying something else. :/

i only took 1 philosophy class, but i kind of want to take more. except i need to finish my major. don't know what to do... :(

and i have taken both CW and lit classes before. i don't know why, but every time i sign up for english classes, i have a bad feeling about taking it. except i get pretty good grades in english classes, and i would like it depending on the teacher, so i don't know what to doooo....
